One News Now:  "A Minnesota city has had a change of heart over use of city property by religious groups -- and without a lawsuit.

Alliance Defense Fund was contacted by a pastor in Elk River who indicated that the town restricted the use of its public library and park for religious practices. According to the policy, religious groups were to be charged more in rental fees than were other non-profit groups for use of park facilities.

The library policy stated: 'The meeting room is available, free of charge, for use by community members for non-religious, non-commercial meetings, which are open to the public' and 'usage may not be for prayer or other worship purposes.' Regarding use of park facilities, those engaging in religious expression would have to pay the full rate charged to commercial and out-of-town groups -- instead of the reduced rate for all local non-profits."
