ELMIRA, N.Y. — ADF Senior Legal Counsel Joel Oster will argue an appeal before a New York county court Wednesday on behalf of a group of Christians arrested and convicted for praying silently during a public event celebrating homosexual behavior. In 2008, Julian Raven and three others were found “guilty” of disorderly conduct after they lay prostrate on the ground for a few moments during a “Gay Pride” event at a public park.ADF is a legal alliance of Christian attorneys and like-minded organizations defending the right of people to freely live out their faith. Launched in 1994, ADF employs a unique combination of strategy, training, funding, and litigation to protect and preserve religious liberty, the sanctity of life, marriage, and the family.
